Chapter 19 Winning Her Trust

As Mayra walked aimlessly through the park, the vibrant hues of autumn leaves contrasted sharply with the storm brewing in her heart. The revelations about Abhimanyu's past marriage to Shalini weighed heavily on her, each thought slicing through her like the crisp wind that rustled the branches above. She had entrusted her heart to him, only to discover that it was entwined with the shadows of a life she had never agreed to share.

Rhea had been kind, offering her a fleeting glimmer of hope, yet doubts lingered. She sat on a weathered bench, her fingers tracing the engraved names carved into the wood – a testament to love stories, some enduring, others forgotten. As she contemplated her situation, she felt a gentle touch on her shoulder. Turning, she was met with the concerned gaze of Arjun, her childhood friend who had always been there for her.

“Mayra, what’s wrong?” he asked, his voice laced with genuine concern.

“I don’t know if I can trust him anymore, Arjun. He deceived me,” she replied, her voice quavering.

Arjun sat beside her, his presence a comforting anchor. “Sometimes the people we love are the ones who hurt us the most. But it doesn’t mean they don’t care. Have you talked to him?”

“I confronted him, but he only told me that it was complicated, and that Shalini was a part of his past he couldn’t escape,” she said, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. “He promised me a future, but how can I believe him now?”

Arjun hesitated, searching for the right words. “Mayra, you deserve honesty. If he truly loves you, he will fight for your trust. You need to set boundaries and see if he respects them.”

His words resonated with her, igniting a flicker of determination. Perhaps it was time to take control of her narrative. “You’re right. I need to have an open conversation with him, no more secrets.”

As they spoke, Mayra felt a sense of clarity begin to break through the fog. “Let’s go back,” she said, rising from the bench. “I need to face him.”

The drive back to Abhimanyu’s mansion was filled with a quiet resolve. Mayra's mind raced with thoughts of their shared moments, the laughter, the intimacy, but now overshadowed by the weight of betrayal. As she stepped into the grand foyer, the familiar scent of sandalwood filled her senses, yet it felt different, tainted by the festering doubt in her heart.

She found Abhimanyu in his study, surrounded by papers and a laptop, but his expression shifted from concentration to concern as he noticed her presence. “Mayra, you’re back early,” he said, standing up.

“Abhimanyu, we need to talk,” she stated firmly, her heart pounding in her chest.

His brow furrowed, sensing the gravity in her tone. “Is everything okay?”

“No, everything is not okay!” she exclaimed, her voice rising. “You lied to me about Shalini. You hid your past from me. How can I trust you when you keep secrets?”

Abhimanyu’s face paled, the tension in the room thickening. “I never meant to hurt you. I thought I could protect you from my past.”

“Protect me? Or protect yourself from the consequences of your actions?” Mayra shot back, her frustration boiling over. “You think I can just sweep this under the rug? You’ve broken my trust, Abhimanyu!”

“Please, listen to me,” he pleaded, stepping closer, his eyes searching hers for understanding. “I was trapped in my marriage to Shalini. It was never about love; it was about obligation. I thought I could leave it behind when I met you, but I see now how naive I was.”

Mayra’s heart ached at his words, torn between the love she still felt and the betrayal she struggled to accept. “How do I know you’re not just saying this to keep me?”

“Because I love you, Mayra. I chose you,” he insisted, his voice thick with emotion. “You mean more to me than anything. I’ll do whatever it takes to earn your trust back.”

As she looked into his eyes, she saw the sincerity, but the scars of betrayal were deep."Will you divorce her and be with me telling the world" she asks hoping that he'll reject her and leave

He nods immediately like a child still holding her "yes I'll leave her just trust me on this one then I'll tell the whole world you are the only one for me"

He kisses her all over the face, she finally forgives him and she trusts him more than anything in this world

He is her everything for her, her parents never think about her only lived for themselves, she has to struggle for whole life but now she has someone who loves her whole heart.

He finally stopped kissing her face it's been more than 15 days since he touched her like this since their fight.

He caressed her cheeks rubbing it in slow way looking at her lips his eyes burning with desire he kisses her deeply making her flinch a little but kissing him back.

She knew she needed this a touch of love not some lust , he picked her up in his arms making her smile a little in a shy way taking her to their bedroom planning to fuck the brains out of her .
